Danielle Lyn is a Filipino American author, actress and activist. Sugar Water is her upcoming debut book of poetry. She is known for her role in the Netflix Original film Nappily Ever After.
She will be seen next in AMC Shudder series Creepshow. Starring with Tricia Helfer in "Lydia Layne's Better Half" premiering fall 2019. Her other film work includes starring in the indie comedy An Actor Prepares opposite Jeremy Irons, as well as roles in The Divergent Series: Allegiant, Candy Jar, Fist Fight, The Duff, and recurring on the OWN series Queen Sugar.
Born June 24, 1990 in Mindanao, Philippines and adopted to an American family she grew up competing in figure skating, performing on stage, and studying the visual arts and literature. Her career began after being scouted while reading in a café bookstore. She serves as a global advocate for adoption and orphan care. She is an activist for diversity and women in film, animal rescue, environmental conservation, and protecting rights and equalities of women and the LGBTQ community. She is Co-Founder of Hānai Creative with Leilani Lonsdale producing original content and promoting women and diversity in the arts and entertainment industries.
